Orienting to recent life changes – For people whose life has recently changed and who want to clarify intentions based on those changes

This is a simple activity for people who are experiencing a period of rapid growth or change, or who have recently switched contexts. For example: starting or leaving school, new job, new partnership or separation, birth of a child, moving to a new place, retirement…

Questions to ask:

  • What’s possible now that wasn’t possible before?
    • due to new connections, new resources, new skills, new technology, etc
  • What do you care about more now than before, that you’d like to put some time/energy towards?
    • Or, how has your understanding around this goal, value or commitment changed, deepened, or evolved?
  • What previous goals, values, or commitments are no longer a priority? What would you like to put less energy towards?
    • What changed or shifted?
